Preparing for Confirmation
Confirmation is a process. It happens through time. You learn more and more God and about your faith. You take those lessons into the world with you and they effect the way you live your life. You live to serve God and your fellow human beings.
"Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?" He said to him, "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments."
New American Bible
Gospel of Matthew
Chapter 22 Verses 37-40
When you are confirmed the Holy Spirit will enter you and give you gifts of Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, Right Judgment, Courage, Reverence, Wonder & Awe. These gifts will allow you to fully understand and live the message Jesus gave in the Scripture above. How do we prepare for Confirmation?
We allow ourselves to be open to God's will, not our own. Trust that he will send his Holy Spirit to you and lead you to what you are called to do.
